The high mountain meadow is beautiful and surprising! As well as the rest of your photos. Your knee made it! Yay! How wonderful to be there with your brother and family.
Wow there’s something striking about your second picture at the top with all the evergreens and open fields. What a unique landscape up on a mountain. So beautiful.
The red mushrooms are really eye-catching, i only see these in fairy tales. I just learned that they’re flying agaric mushrooms, and they have a fascinating relationship with trees...
Thank you for sharing this info; I didn't even know it. I'm look ing forward to reading about it on your site (I'm hoping you'll write a post about it). This was the first time I've seen them in real life, but I also saw pictures of them in a book when i was a child, learning to recognize mushrooms. I don't remember its name, but I remember it was the first on the list of poisonous, "do not touch" mushrooms. Now I'm intrigued, will need to learn about them. Thank you for reading and commenting, Bree :) I appreciate your support!
Like you, I was always told that mushrooms with bright colors were untouchable. After reading more about fungi recently, I’m really intrigued by these amazing creatures. I plan to share what I’ve learned in an upcoming post...

It really was wonderful! I was so glad I didn’t chicken out when I saw the incline. :) Thank you so much for interacting, Jeanine! 😊
Thank you for taking me along on your hike in an area I’ve never been to. Lovely views and glad your knee held up!
Thank you for coming along. Glad you enjoyed it 😊
