What a cool spot to visit! And with your photos--especially that Hieroglyphic Stairway--I felt like I was right there with you... There's something magical about visiting the sites of ancient civilizations in Central America, and I'm glad for your posts so I can preview them!

Thank you so much! :) Yes, I am lucky to visit them - both my husband and I love these ancient sites, so we visit any opportunity we get. So glad you enjoy my posts about them! :)

Wonderful! Copán is yet another on my long list of archaeological sites to visit. Really enjoyed my trip to Belize and Guatemala seeing Caracole and Tikal some years ago. Would like to see much more of Guatemala though in the future and Mexico’s Teotihuacan is an absolutely incredible place to behold too. So much to see and do, so little time!

You'll absolutely love Copán! We visited Caracol and Tikal last year, they were both amazing! We plan to return. And Teotihuacan is next on our list.

What an amazing experience, Emese! And the photos are incredible. You really covered so much. Neat you spent three days to take it all in — and the site was completely yours!!

Thank you, Jeanine! Yes, it was an amazing experience! We needed all three days for Copán, but in the end we felt we knew it well enough. We were surprised it was so empty of tourists, but enjoyed it.

It really is. Especially for anyone who enjoys archaeological/historical sites; but the surrounding forests and the people in the Honduran small towns are also great! It was an amazing experience!
