Thanks for introducing to me stunning maya blue. I’am really intrigued by the history about this color. I learned more through the link in your post and other reads...😊
Love this! I often do the same - when something intrigues me, I go off in search of more info and learn more a out it. Isn’t this color’s history amazing?
This series is making me long to get back to that area even more than I already did! It may be a few years still but it is definitely priority. I didn’t expect to love the area as much as I did, when we went for a wedding a few years ago, but I haven’t stopped thinking about how happy I was to be there ever since.
Emese, that coast was so exquisite for such a long time. And the joy of going someplace and being the only people there. It's unheard of, no? Xelha --such a beautiful stretch, and the pyramids looked incredible. I never saw them! We got waylaid with other spots, I guess. Really fell for the Xpu-ha 's -- think there were 5, though no pyramids. Your photos were great. Fun times!
It really was the best; we miss it, going back now is not the same. I remember the Xpu-ha beaches, we used to spend a lot of time there; They were gorgeous, and all of them public! We really did see that coast at its best :). Yes, fun times!
Maya Blue is uniquely beautiful! soft yet rich, bold yet earthy..
A perfect description of it, Bree! Thank you :)

I know how you feel - it definitely is a special area; though it has changed so much since I first visited, it is still nice :)
