Miraculously beautiful photos. Emese, and astounding story about the preserve! What is Wrong w/ people? But you are so right--occasionally right minded, climate endearing folks will step in and save the day. 76 acres is pretty good!
Thank you, Jeanine! Yes, it is a pretty decent size. So beautiful, green, and full of life! I love stories of conservation that work -- give us some hope, right?
Lovely. We will have to check this out next time we are through Texas. Do they let you walk back at your own pace? We love looking for birds and other wildlife.
Yes, they do let you walk back at your own pace - although I am not sure you'd have unlimited time (they didn't mention limiting it for us), if they have a new tour scheduled later. We took our time, too, stopped often, and so did other people from the group. Lots of birds along the trail. They just ask you not to get off the trail. And, at least for our group, the guide stayed behind. I'm guessing they need to be the last ones out. But we didn't feel rushed at all; she only caught up with us at the end of the trail, and we were the last ones out.
Yes, it is one of my favorite places (if not the favorite) near Austin! You have to book a tour, though, and they are not always available, but if you can check next time you are in the area, it is worth it!
There are so many beautiful places all over the world, as you know. :) I didn't expect it in Texas, but it's beautiful around Austin! This was just a small cave, but there is another one close by that we visited a few years ago, much larger. Yes, they are fascinating

This is somewhere I've been meaning to visit but yet to make it despite visiting Austin 3 times so far! Looks like a really cool place!

So pretty—a bit of enchantment!
Yes, it really is :)
This place looks so special. Thanks for the immersive tour, Emese-Réka!
It really is special. Thanks for reading, Daniel!
