I loved visiting Montezuma’s Castle. Sedona is great, but getting out of town is even better.

I agree; I love Sedona, but I have a better time outside of it, in quieter areas.

Thanks for taking us on this visit and introducing me to the unique habitat around Montezuma’s Castle and Well. Although I lived in Arizona for several years, I never went to Sedona or the national park there.

Thanks for reading, Sheri. I hope you enjoyed your time in Arizona, even if you didn't go to Sedona and Montezuma Castle; the state has many wonderful places...

Yes, I lived there for several years but didn’t get to experience all of its wonders. 🤓🩷

Thank you so much for sharing about your visit! We were planning to see Montezuma for ourselves, but had a change of plans while we were out there this year. I was so bummed because we were camping just a couple miles away - we could have hiked there - but alas, it wasn't meant to be. I'm grateful for your post which really helped me better understand the history and unique beauty there.

Oh yes, it was so gorgeous (and far less crowded 😉) staying over there!

I'm constantly amazed at how beautiful the world is ♥ Thank you for sharing your unique experiences with us! Also, I'm totally with you on seeking out the quieter places, I often find myself thinking that I wish people had more respect for nature. Hope that's not just wishful thinking!

Yes, I know! I feel the same way, everywhere I go! It’s amazing to be surrounded by so much beauty - and yes, I hope it’s not just wishful thinking that people everywhere would have more respect for nature. I think people sometimes need to be reminded of it, learn more about our dependence on nature, to start appreciating it more. And pressuring those in power to protect it… a bit tough at the moment but I am sure possible in the long run.

Really beautiful, Montezuma Castle and park, Emese. How smart to exit all the madness at Sedona and head to another park. The cave - cliff dwellings are remarkable, especially the castle. Man. Your first Sedona photo was especially beautiful--those red rocks.

We’re lucky we live close enough to all these sites that we can give up visiting Sedona … people who travel far to see it might feel they can’t miss the opportunity. We also love Montezuma Castle and Well so it was still a great day. Yes, those rocks are truly special a d spectacular! Our favorites in Sedona.
